Dadiyanki: From Humble Beginnings to Reggaeton Royalty

Early Life

Dadiyanki was born on 3 February 1976 in Puerto Rico. He is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. He spent his early life in the Villa Kennedy Housing Projects neighborhood. In his early life, Dadiyanki wanted to become a baseball player. He tried many times for Major League Baseball. At the start of his career, he was hit by a stray round from a rifle. It took a year and a half to recover from the wound. After recovering, Dadiyanki pays attention to his music career.

The successful career of Dadiyanki

Dadiyanki started his music career in 1992. He appeared on  DJ Playero’s Mixtape, Playero 34, with the song, So, Persigueme, No Te Detengas. Then he appeared in the song, Playero 37. He continued his hard work and released many hits. His first hit was Donde Mi No Vengas. He performed in live concerts. His forest official hit song was No Mercy. This was released on 2 April 1995. In his early career, Dadiyanki focused on rap style. He worked with different artists like DJ Playero, DJ Nelson, and Tempo. In the 1990’s he appeared in  DJ Playero’s underground mixtapes. Some of these songs were banned because of explicit lyrics. Dadiyanki collaborated with the rapper Nas. They released a song, The Profecy in 1997. Dadiyanki released his music album El Cartel in 1997.  He released another album El Cartel II in 2001. Both of his albums got success in Puerto Rican.  He has success on the international level. His best songs include Tu Cuerpo en la Cama, Latigazo, Son las Doce, Guayando, Enciende, Seguroski, and Cógela Que Va Sin Jockey. He was at the peak of his successful career in 2004.

Dadiyanki released a single Oye Me Canto that was 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His music album,  Barrio Fino was the most highly anticipated in the reggaeton community. Dadiyanki performed in many countries including the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Honduras, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela, and the United States. 1.1 million copies of this album were sold in the United States. This album became the seventh-best music album in Latin.

Dadiyanki keeps his personal life private. He met Mireddys González at the age of 17. They were best friends and got married. Yamilette Ayala González is the eldest daughter of Dadiyanki. Jesaaelys was born in 1996. Dadiyanki also has a son Jeremy. He was born in 1998.
