Elaine Andriejanssen was born on March 28, 1984, in Jakarta, Indonesia. She had a normal childhood, but along the way, her family moved to Singapore, where she grew up. Upon coming of age, Elaine began going to school; after her primary education, she joined Raffles Girls High School to continue with her education.

Career
Upon her graduation, Elaine Andriejanssen landed a job at Franklin Templeton Investments, an investment firm where she worked as a quantitative research analyst. Elaine worked with the company for over eight years, from 2006 to 2014, after which she moved to Singapore. Upon her arrival in Singapore, Elaine began working with EE Capital Pte Ltd, and she has held the position of executive chairperson since 2016. Besides her position at the company, Elaine also helps run some family businesses in Singapore.
Relationship with Eduardo Saverin
Elaine and Eduardo met in the 2000s; at the time Elaine was doing her undergraduate degree at Tufts University while Eduardo Saverin was doing his at Havard University. They became friends and dated for a very long time before getting engaged in March 2014. They held an engagement party at Mulia Resorts and Villa, and it was attended by family and close friends. A year later, the couple decided to exchange their wedding vows, doing so in a private event that was attended by a few friends and family.
People were not aware that the two had got married until Eduardo Saverin shared the news of his wedding a month later on his Facebook page. He noted that he was happy to have married the love of his life, and he would do everything to make sure that she was happy. The couple have one son together.
Before marrying Elaine, there were rumors that Eduardo would marry Rachel Kum. She was crowned Miss Singapore Universe in 2009. People claimed that the billionaire had even invested in her make-up company.
